Small Generator Review

!: Small Generator Review

So are you looking for a small generator? Perhaps you are looking to find an answer to your energy needs for pleasure or just to provide extra energy? You may even be looking at providing an amount of your general energy needs.

So here a couple of reviews, one for a small generator and one for a not so small generator. I hope you find something of interest or even value in the following.

If your main requirement tends to lean mostly towards a small, inexpensive, mobile generator, maybe to keep an essential appliance operating in the event of a power failure, I think you would be interested in the range of positive and consistent reviews supplied by owners for the All Power America APG3014. This product is a small machine which because of its size and construction does not provide the best quality current. When it comes to providing power for sensitive electronics this product is not ideal. If your main interest is to have the ability to ensure power for say couple of work lights or having the ability to maintain a freezer running, owners and users have tended to find this product to be a reliable choice in its particular price bracket. The All Power America generator - a Chinese made product- is rated to run 9.5 hours at half load per tank of fuel. It has two 120-volt AC outlets and one 12-volt DC outlet, and it comes with battery charging cables. A low-oil shutdown feature is a plus. You have to take it to an All Power America service centre for repairs, it would be a wise move to insure easy access to an approved and registered service outlet. On line reviews from owners have tended to give this particular item high ratings overall, though there are a few complaints about customer service.

A slightly larger product, the Generac 5724, is a portable generator. This particular generator does not include inverter technology, so this may not be your first choice of product, if your goal is to provide a reliable and uninterrupted power for sensitive electronics. It does however provide more than enough power to run your refrigerator, a few lights and a one or two additional appliances (depending on wattage) simultaneously during a power outage. It surges to 3,750 watts for the extra starting power some motors require. It includes four AC outlets and has a two-year warranty. As part of Generac's GP series of portable generators, the 5724 has earned a Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, which means that Good Housekeeping and registered will replace it or refund the full purchase price for two years from the date of purchase. All in all this would tend to make it a better fit for most requirements than similar generators sitting in this price and size class bracket.
